Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If doing good while looking good is the golden fashion rule, then Boston-based Fashion Project just made well-heeled benevolence a little more convenient. The clothing donation service has paired up with Lord & Taylor to offer a $20 gift card to anyone who donates five new or gently used clothing pieces, with all proceeds go to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
You don't even have to leave the HVAC comforts of your home; shoppers just register at the Fashion Project website to receive their donation materials in the mail. More sociable customers can drop their pieces off in person at all participating Massachusetts and New Hampshire stores—five in total—on July 12-13 and July 26-27. The giveaway continues through August 3.—Meaghan Agnew
