A fashion-themed road trip might be in order: on August 24, StyleWeek Northeast returns to Providence to spotlight the wares of both budding and established designers.
Staged at the historic Biltmore Hotel, the weeklong event, now in its ninth season, includes an accessories showcase and cocktail hour ahead of the three-nightly runway shows. There's some hometown pride to be had, too: among the seven designers making their catwalk debuts are Boston-based talents Amanda Koker (ASK Fashion) and Julie Kontos. Returning alums include Toni Lyn Spaziano, Alistair Archer, Martha Jackson, Nick Pini, and Project Runway seventh-season finalist Jonathan Joseph Peters. The ongoing SEED: Innovation Meets Education competition will highlight jewelry designs from past and current Rhode Island college students. Tickets are still available and range from $40 to $60.
