Have you caught Carla Fernández: The Barefoot Designer at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum yet? If not, here's another reason to visit before it departs this month: two weavers from Mexico's Chiapas region have taken up residence in the museum's garden and are teaching workshops in backstrap looming through the middle-end of next week. Workshop space is currently sold out, but you can still stop by and watch the women in action. There's also a drop-in weaving class happening in the education studio tomorrow at 11am, which is free with admission. [ISGM via Facebook; photo by MK Wong]
