Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We never mind being needled if it's in the name of beauty. Enter KN Medspa in Natick, where owner Kathy Nash has just introduced the Dermapen, a high-tech skin gadget.

Here's the non-science-y take on the science. The pen's superfine needles penetrate skin up to two millimeters, which produces collagen. That in turn means fewer wrinkles, better texture and maybe even a bit of a lift, sans plastic surgery. Good Morning America recently declared the treatment the "fountain of youth in a pen," which of course piqued our interest. More notably, Nash was an IV nurse to prominent plastic surgeons for more than twenty years and so clearly knows the biz.

Here's the kicker: Racked Boston readers will receive 20 percent off the service, which makes it a far more viable indulgence.
