There's good news and bad news. Bad news first: Janiyé, the Newbury Street jewelry studio owned by design legends Alexandra Watkins and Nancy Michel, will be closing at the end of September.

Here's the good: prior to shuttering, the store will host "Gold Rush," a three-day sale open to the public (the studio has traditionally been appointment only). On Thursday, September 11, from 11am to 8pm; Friday, September 12, from 10am to 5pm; and Saturday, September 13, from 10am to 5 pm, the atelier will offer last-chance discounts on its gorgeous bracelets, necklaces and earrings (just for perspective, some of their pieces are in permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts). Consider it a fall jewelry investment.
